On-Demand American Sign Language (ASL) Video Interpreting
With an estimated 2 million deaf people in the US, health care providers are expected to offer
means of appropriate communication
between staff and patients. Many hospitals try to provide interpreting services by hiring either local agencies and/or maintaining an in-house staff
that can do the job. While in-person interpreters should remain the first, best approach to fulfill the need, unfortunately doing so results either inefficient,
too costly, and depending of the region, sometimes not even possible due an overall lack of certified interpreters.
Our parent company, Deaf-Talk, LLC,
pioneered the concept of delivering
ASL certified interpreters via video back in 1999 when we started serving only a
handful of hospitals. Today, more than 250 hospital installations nationwide (and counting), position us as the leaders in the field.
Adapting constantly to the latest technologies available and using the
best quality equipment in the market, we serve
today some of the most prestigious institutions in the country -- and we would like to have the privilege of serving yours as well.
