On-Demand American Sign Language (ASL)
Video Interpreting
With an estimated two million deaf people in the US, health care providers are expected to offer a means of appropriate communication between staff and patients. Many hospitals provide interpreting services by hiring local agencies and/or maintaining an in-house staff. Employing the services of an in-person interpreter should be considered the best approach to fulfill a related communications need. This capability is not always possible or achieved efficiently, however, because of various factors that may include budgetary constraints, lack of certified interpreters and the geographic location of an institution. Our parent company, Deaf-Talk, Inc., pioneered the concept of delivering ASL certified interpreters via video back in 1999 when we started serving only a handful of hospitals. Today, more than 250 hospital installations nationwide (and counting), position us as the leaders in the field. Adapting constantly to the latest technologies available and using the best quality equipment in the market, today we serve some of the most prestigious institutions in the country -- and we would like to have the privilege of serving yours as well.
